Each recovery expert gets hundreds of hours of hands-on training, ensuring they follow the best practices when helping with your vehicle emergency.

If we can get you back on the road without moving your vehicle, that’s always what we prefer. However, if we can’t fix it on the spot, we make sure your vehicle is safely taken to the nearest garage.

With A.M. Engineering, you’ll get fast response times and expert service that often fixes issues right where you’ve broken down, keeping your journey on track.

How we manage your fleet (simple, reliable process)

  1. Intake & plan – We learn your vehicle list, routes and mileage patterns, then agree a maintenance schedule and contact preferences, helping you run your fleet smoothly, track maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance so you stay competitive.
  2. Triage & authorisation – Clear estimates, options explained, and no work started without approval.
  3. Parts & repair – Quality parts from trusted suppliers, fitted by qualified technicians.
  4. Quality checks – Road test and final safety checks before return to service.
  5. Handover – What we did, what we found, and what we recommend next (plain-English notes you can act on). Comprehensive fleet maintenance helps ensure compliance with regulations.

Our dedicated account management service ensures ongoing support and oversight, making managing your fleet efficient and straightforward.

Preventive, Reactive and Condition-Based Maintenance .

  • Preventive maintenance keeps small faults from becoming roadside failures — ideal for delivery vans, service vehicles and multi-drop routes where uptime is critical. It helps reduce unplanned downtime, keep your fleet operating smoothly, and boost productivity by enhancing overall fleet performance and operational efficiency.
  • Reactive maintenance is there when something unexpected happens. We prioritise swift diagnosis and root-cause fixes to avoid repeat visits and minimise disruption.
  • Condition-based maintenance uses real-world indicators (oil life, DPF soot load, brake wear sensors and trend observations) to service at the right moment — a vital approach for vehicles with variable duty cycles, supporting regulatory compliance and reliability.

We’ll recommend the blend that best suits your fleet size, utilisation and routes to maximise uptime and overall fleet productivity.

Light Commercial Vehicle Expertise.

LCVs and commercial vehicle fleets have unique duty patterns and wear profiles, and we have extensive experience managing and maintaining these vehicle types. We provide:

  • Van specific repairs (load areas, shutter doors, body hardware, door runners)
  • Electrical and auxiliary fitment support (tow bars, beacons, racking-related electricals)
  • Specialist diagnostics for modern diesel systems and emissions after-treatment
  • Maintenance keyed to mileage and duty (urban multi-drop vs regional trunking)
  • Truck specific repairs

We understand the specific requirements of commercial vehicle fleets, ensuring tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of every fleet type.

Compliance made simpler .

We align our inspection and repair work with UK regulations and best practice for commercial vehicles. That means:

  • MOT Class 4/7 preparation and presentation
  • Daily defect findings resolved quickly and recorded
  • Service records maintained so you can evidence compliance when needed
  • Recall actions tracked and completed promptly

Proof of capability.

  • Long-term relationships with fleets that include mixed brands and ages
  • Technicians holding City & Guilds, RTEC (IRTE-developed) and IVR recovery qualifications
  • Accredited knowledge of Haldex and Wabco systems applied in day-to-day maintenance
  • 13 years delivering practical solutions that keep vehicles working
  • Proven focus on operational efficiency for fleet clients, helping to optimise maintenance, reduce costs, and improve overall fleet performance
  • Demonstrated saving of time and money for customers through efficient service delivery and tailored solutions, helping fleet operators control cost and achieve measurable savings
